On Tuesday of this week, Council Member Melissa Mark-Viverito and the El Barrio/East Harlem Youth Violence Task Force held its Fifth Annual Youth Fair, which seeks to connect local young people with services and programs available in the community. The theme of this year’s youth fair centered around preventing and reducing violence among young people. The event featured food, give-aways, performances, and a talent show. The event was a success with over 20 local organizations in attendance at the Fair.
The Harlem Community Justice Center, also participated in the Fair with some of our Youth Court members. Youth Court members not only provided information about the program to other teens but were also interviewed by DNA Info.
